December 14th, 2015: Kinsley's Evaluation

Kinsley had her evaluation today. She was able to be in the same room as us. She did the test on the floor and did pretty good. Before we left the speech teacher warned us that most likely she will be on the border and not qualify. Usually this would be great news but it is very frustrating because I feel the services will help Kinsley. She has made great progress and I want her to keep improving before she becomes school age. The speech teacher commented that their hands are tied behind their back in situations like this. She even expressed difficulty understanding Kinsley. If she doesn't qualify and we still have articulation concerns she said to contact them when Kinsley is 3 1/2. We will see what happens at the review meeting in January.
