Today was the big day... We had our anatomy scan! The 3 previous gender “guesses” were confirmed! We are having a boy and a girl!!! When the ultrasound began, the babies were in a perfect position… they were sitting right where they needed to be so we could see what we needed to seeJ This lasted for about a minute before they were moving all over the places. The ultrasound went great and the babies look wonderful! Baby B wasn’t cooperating (of course!) and was moving all over the place. The tech wasn’t able to get all of the body parts, but otherwise he looked good!
We met with the Dr. (we met with a new one because ours wasn’t available). She said the ultrasound looked great but she wasn’t able to see all of the baby parts. My heart sank at first! I thought the babies were missing body parts!!! She assured me that it was most likely 99% due to positioning. She wasn’t concerned therefore said we would check for the rest of the parts in 2 weeks when I was coming back for a cervical length check. She went over a few more things (flu shot, pertussis and rhogam shot) and suggested a belly band for discomfort and to provide more support.
We left the appointment feeling great! Then we were off to finish our day and get ready to tell family the following evening!
