August 20th, 2014: Another Doctor's Appointment for Kinsley

The kids had their 18 month appointment on the 13th. The morning of the 15th, Kinsley woke up with a red cheek. By the afternoon both cheeks were red. The following morning she had bumps on her arms. By Monday she had bumps on her face, arms and legs. We called the doctor and were advised to give Benadryl even though it didn't itch her. By Wednesday they got even worse so we brought her in. With the better lighting there, we saw them on her feet and her ears too! Our doctor said she wasn't a classic case but thought it was hand, foot and mouth disease. She had lesions in her mouth which explains the swollen lymph nodes:-( poor baby was covered but such a good sport. It is high contagious yet Koltin never caught it. Thank goodness!!!! The doctor said the incubation timeframe is 3-10 days and usually last 2 weeks. Well Kinsley's lasted 3 weeks but she finally got over it! Thank goodness!!!!
