August 17th: Follow up Appointment with OB

Today was our follow up appointment with our OB. We had scheduled the appointment with our doctor, however we had to reschedule and meet with her PA. We got to hear the babies’ heartbeats on the doppler. One baby was 159 and the other baby was 164. We aren't sure which baby was which. We met with the PA and she went over the results from PPA.  She was unable to go over the results for Baby B as PPA never sent them over.  She said she’d call if there were any issues.  No call, so we assume all is okay!  She did address the fact that the chances of our babies having down syndrome is slim by looking at the results (If I remember right, 1/1000).  She also said PPA wants me to deliver by 38 weeks.  Apparently PPA did not send much information over regarding the SCH therefore my OB is not concerned.  She did put me on pelvic rest since the spotting has continued.  Our next appointment is on September 7^th.  At this appointment we will meet with my doctor and will have both the growth of the SCH checked as well as the length of my cervix.  I will be going in every 2 weeks to check my cervix until week 24 and then every 4 weeks after that.  She also said we can go to them to have these tests done rather than PPA as my aunt told her they have the same technology.  Our plan is to have them do everything unless we need to go to PPA.  So, we need to trust all is well and just keep our fingers crossed until the 7^th!
